4 Zoomers are the uncontested leaders in the Realms Collide group stage despite roster changes

Organized with Valve’s financial support, Realms Collide: The Burning Darkness boasts a total of nine South American teams and three NA squads fighting for the glory and a share of the $75,000 prize pool.

The group play started last week, on November 12 and it is played in a single round-robin, two game series until December 1st. After the first week of matches, the NA representatives, 4 Zoomers, are leading the charts with an impressive 8-0 game score. So far, they took down Infinity Esports, EgoBoys, Team Unknown from the SA competitors, and the NA finest, Quincy Crew (QC).

4 Zoomers’ clean 2-0 victory over QC, who have been the absolute dominant team in the NA and SA competitions for the past several months, is even more commendable if we take into consideration that 4 Zoomers underwent a roster change right before the tournament began.  Jaron “monkeys-forever” Clinton was replaced in the offlane with “Zero”, a newcomer to the professional scene.

While 4 Zoomers lead the group, undefeated so far, Quincy Crew are tied with Infamous and EgoBoys in sixth place, with just one victory, one draw score and two defeats. The other team that managed to take them down 2-0 is Omega Gaming, a Bolivia – Peru mix that made its way into the event via closed qualifiers.

The second team coming from qualifiers is the 4FUN stack built around Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao, and despite their championship victory earlier this month at Dota Summit 13, they are in the bottom four of the group with two draw series. However, moving into the second week of the group play, they have a plethora of opportunities to secure a top eight finish in the group stage and earn a spot into the playoff.

Infinity Esports and Midas Club are also at the bottom of the group, but with a total of four series played and no victory, sitting on a negative 1-7 overall game score.

Top four in the group so far are 4 Zoomers, followed by beastcoast with three victories and one draw series, Omega Gaming with two victories and two draw scores and Thunder Predator with two victories, one draw score and one defeat.
