Brazilian esports promotion company Bad Boy Leeroy (BBL) is organizing in Brazil the GIRLGAMER Challenge LATAM, a new branch of the worldwide event GIRLGAMER Esports Festival. The production team will be 100% made up by women, as well as the teams that will play the Valorant and League of Legends (LoL) competitions to be featured.
Starting on June 5 with open qualifiers, the competition will be held online and have its finals on June 19 and 20. The prize pool rests at $10K USD and, to date, no sponsors are signed for the event, although GIRLGAMER has attracted multiple cosmetics brands to its 2020 World Finals in Dubai.
GIRLGAMER is presented by the non-profit organization Grow uP eSports, which partnered for the second time with BBL for managing the event in Latin America: They have worked together before in 2019 when BBL was responsible for the GIRLGAMER Esports Festival Qualifiers in São Paulo.
