The tides turned quickly as Minnesota and Los Angeles went back and forth in a heated battle of Hardpoint, trying to beat the absolute hell out of each other. Once the Guerillas secured the momentum away from a well-balanced Rokkr hold, they took away the first round with a strong defense and an even stronger offense, resisting retakes and finding to secure a quick retake.
The second round of Search and Destroy, taking place at the Piccadily map, was filled to the brim with heavy sniper fire and an uncountable amount of over-the-wall grenade tosses. Much of the match was fought between the interweaving double-decker buses on the map, with LA dominating and continuing to hold the lead, making it 1 – 1.
Game 3 was a round of Domination. Rokkr stayed dominant in the first half, pretty much maintaining a two flag steady over the Guerillas. Minnesota came alive this match, with the Minneapolis crowd screaming and cheering wildly for their hometown favorite. But even with the crowd behind them, the Los Angeles Guerillas flipped the script (as well as the score) in their favor, coming back from a more than seventy point deficit…. still it wasn’t enough to take the win away from the Rokkr stronghold.
With a 2 – 1 match lead, Minnesota started off with fast trigger fingers and a stable offensive against Los Angeles. In the final moments of the Hardpoint round, Alexx certainly showed his stripes with a destructive takedown across the map, making sure Minnesota took away the win at home.
