FunPlus Phoenix have filled the last open spot on their roster with Chris “chriJ” de Jong. This news comes just a day after they revealed the signing of the ex-GODSENT quartet consisting of Jesse “zehN” Linjala, Pavle “Maden” Bošković , Martin “STYKO” Styk, Asger “Farlig” Jensen, and head coach Jonatan “Devilwalk” Lundberg.
This is chrisJ’s first home outside of mousesports after seven years with the German organization. He’ll be moving into a spot that was left empty since Kevin “kRYSTAL” Amend was benched back in November. Luka “emi” Vuković had stood in for the team in the following months but would not ultimately end up as a full-time member of the roster.
“We have set some serious and high goals for this roster and I’m sure that the boys have got what it takes to become the best,” Petar “Peca” Markovic, General Manager of FPX said in a tweet.
The team is set to make its debut under FPX at Dreamhack Open January on January 27th. Evil Geniuses, BIG, Sprout, HellRaisers, forZe, Spirit, and Gambit are also competing in the $70,000 tournament.
