Gaming Culture’s Valorant Tournament in Brazil Becomes Part of the Game Changers Program

Brazilian esports promotion agency Gaming Culture announced on Monday the second edition of its Girl Pwr VALORANT tournament. The event is being sponsored by monitor brand AOC and is also supported by Riot Games’ esports promotion program VCT Game Changers, focused on women and other marginalized genders.

Gaming Culture’s CEO Peterson Rodrigues spoke to The Esports Observer regarding the entrance of the tournament into the Game Changers program: “The first Girl Pwr VALORANT was a success, representing a leap for Gaming Culture as a whole. We were already planning this second edition when we were approached by the Brazilian team of Riot Games to receive support from Game Changers. For us, it was a recognition of this championship that we are so fond of.”

This is the second Valorant tournament supported by AOC in 2021. The first was the Ultimasters AOC, held in January, which also counted on Gaming Culture’s operation.

The Girl Pwr Valorant is set to have its open qualifiers held on Apr. 7-8, and playoffs on Apr. 15-18 to be streamed through Gaming Culture’s Twitch channel. The prize pool adds up to $20K BRL (roughly $3,45K USD).
