Hearthstone is celebrating theory crafting with the community before Forged in the Barrens launches on March 30.
Right now, players can watch Hearthstone creators duke it out against other players on Twitch. Each livestreamer is showcasing the winning decks that were submitted to them by the community. These Hearthstone decks all consist of at least 10 cards from the upcoming Forged in the Barrens expansion.
On March 22, the community got to submit these decks to their favorite participating players. These included players like Jeffrey “Trump” Shih, James “Firebat” Kostesich and Octavian “Kripp” Morosan.
The winners that came in first place received Hearthstone Mega Bundles. Meanwhile, those who were in second and third place received regular bundles.
Forged in the Barrens giveaways
In addition to enjoying the theorycrafting and gameplay, Hearthstone fans also have a chance to receive more Mega Bundle codes. When activated, the recipient will get 80 Forged in the Barrens card packs along with two Golden Legendaries, a new card pack and more.
Each of the Hearthstone livestreamers are giving away 10 of these codes throughout the day. This is on top of gifting Twitch subs to viewers.
The Pre-Launch Party will continue throughout the rest of the week with more Mega Bundle giveaways over on Reddit and Twitch. The week will end with a bunch of gifted subs.
After the Forged in the Barrens launch, Hearthstone fans and players at large will also be able to participate in Twitch Drops. Card packs will be available for viewers after watching a few hours of Hearthstone gameplay. It should be noted that each viewer’s Twitch account must be linked to their Battle.net account.
Private Fireside Gatherings
Before the release of Forged in the Barrens, Hearthstone fans will be able to take part in a private Fireside Gathering. Between March 26 and 29, they can open up card packs from the new expansion ahead of time.
Fireside Brawls will also be available. While the No Cards Barred! Brawl will let players create decks using their new cards, the A Recipe for Tenacity will feature new pre-constructed deck recipes to test out. The latter Brawl will not require pre-purchased card packs.
Hearthstone’s Forged in the Barrens expansion is scheduled to launch on March 30. Until then, players can have fun starting on March 25 with the game’s anticipated Classic format.
