Team Unique pick up the ex-forZe eSports roster

Nearly two weeks ago forZe eSports released their entire Dota
2 roster and earlier today the squad were picked up by Team Unique.

Following their release from forZe, Alexander ‘Gibkiy’ Tkachenko also departed from the team, who went back to their former name of Gentlemen. While it has only been two weeks since they were released, the squad – with Alexey ‘Zitraks’ Ischenko as a stand-in currently, have been picked up by Team Unique. Unique dropped their entire roster yesterday, which featured ex Winstrike, FlyToMoon and Virtus.pro player Alexander ‘NoFear’ Churochkin and then went on to sign the Gentlemen roster later on the same day. The full Team Unique squad is:

  • Alexey ‘Zitraks’ Ischenko
  • Egor ‘19teen’ Lexutin
  • Stanislav ‘633’ Glushan
  • Evgenly ‘Chu’ Makarov
  • Ivan ‘VANSKOR’ Skorohod

Georgy Faleev, CEO of the Unique organisation had the following
to say on their latest Dota 2 squad,

We are glad to welcome the “Gentlemen” to our ranks. I want to wish the guys good luck, and I hope for long and productive cooperation! Unique, in turn, will do everything possible so that the results are not long in coming!”

Unique will have their first series with their new roster later today as they take on FTM in the StayHome Challenge. This event features the likes of Vikin.gg, B8 and OG Seed, with a total of eight teams fighting for a prize pool of $15,000. Although Unique may feature a new roster, the team definitely have a shot at making it far into the StayHome Challenge, considering their experience and recent Minor action too before the Dota 2 Pro Circuit season was abruptly cancelled.

With the CIS Dota 2 scene being very open to new teams to
take over, it will be extremely interesting to see if Team Unique can claim the
StayHome Challenge title above some well-known names in both CIS and Europe –
and possibly challenge the likes of VP and HellRaisers at the top of the region’s
scene.
