Treatz heads to SK Gaming, says he’s ready to leave TSM – Daily Esports

Erik “Treatz” Wessén has published a letter about his experience playing for TSM, and what he looks forward to with SK Gaming. The former TSM support reflected on his time with the Academy team, and shared his emotions going into his new role. SK Gaming recently announced the signing of Treatz, along with other teammates for their 2021 roster.

Treatz leaves TSM

“I don’t feel like I fully closed my chapter with TSM for multiple reasons,” said Treatz in a Twitlonger written to his fans, “but I know that I am ready to write a new one with SK.” The Swedish 24-year old support player played for TSM’s Academy from 2018 until now, filling in for TSM as a substitute during the summer. His achievements include supporting TSM to first place for the LCS 2020 Summer Playoffs, ending 3-2 against FlyQuest. He’s also found success in the 2019 NA Academy Spring Playoffs against Cloud9, pushing the team to victory. Other thank that, Treatz managed to reach top ranks in most Splits since joining the organization.

Joining other new SK Gaming members

He’ll now be heading to Europe, with a positive mentality and set goals. SK Gaming’s 2021 roster includes new faces, such as Misfits Premier’s Jean “Jezu” Massol, LDLC’s Kristian “TynX” Hansen, and 1907 Fenerbahçe’s Ersin “Blue” Gören. Overall, the only member remaining in SK Gaming’s current roster is Janik “Jenax” Bartels in the top lane, who signed a contract extension to continue playing with the team.

Former SK Gaming members Juš “Crownshot” Marušič, Dirk “ZaZee” Mallner, and Kim “Trick” Gang-yun are currently looking for other opportunities in the scene.

Although SK Gaming failed to qualify for this year’s World Championship, this new roster may bring improvements on the team’s overall performance. In Treatz’ letter to his fans, he promises to continue working toward success, stating, “The roster and organization feels like a perfect fit for me and I will put in the work to take full advantage of this opportunity.”
