Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Call of Duty Warzone players are reporting a massive outage taking place right now.
Most players appear to have been booted from the game and annoyingly those attempting to log back in are also experiencing a huge server queue to play once again.
Given the huge outcry from players, there's also been a massive spike in reports on Down Detector.
However, is Call of Duty actually down? Are Modern Warfare and Warzone players really unable to play the game?
It doesn't seem so.
It's more likely that there's a new update that's just been released, which explains why players will have been signed out.
Infinity Ward will require players to download this new update before proceeding. Possibly because it contains some important updates and bug fixes that are required to make sure the game run smoothly.
Well, as smooth as it can do anyway.
As players are required to download the new update, it would appear that players were removed from the game and immediately placed into a massive queue to return to the game.
Likely a result of the servers suddenly having thousands of players attempting to log on in one fell swoop.
We would suggest checking the Infinity Ward Twitter account, or posts on the official Call of Duty Modern Warfare subreddit for updates.
As we mention, it's most likely that the game is just forcing players to download a new update.
It's a pain, but the alternative scenario of the game being completely offline and not working is a far more annoying proposition.
