Date A Fluffy Wolf Girl On Your PS4 With Spice & Wolf VR 2

Anime shows and books present some interesting scenarios. This one, though, is pretty novel—and it’s a sequel. Yes, now you can date a fluffy wolf girl on your PS4 with Spice and Wolf VR 2.

Spice and Wolf VR 2 is a virtual reality anime that is based on the Spice and Wolf novels by Isuna Hasekura. The first VR anime in the series debuted last year for HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Oculus Go platforms. The Switch and PlayStation ports became available later in 2019. VR is not necessary to view the show, though.

The sequel will be introducing a new character with “a bushy silver tail.” In addition to a VR experience, a television show was created based on the same material. The show’s voice actors are even part of the VR experience. The first installment was relatively short, running in at around 20 minutes of watch time, and had a description that is second to none.

Kraft Lawrence is a traveling merchant who meets Holo, a beautiful woman who can transform into a wolf.As they travel together they face many hardships, such as having to walk in the rain.

Joking aside, the experience is very well received on the Steam store with a 94% of its reviews being positive. If the sequel delivers the same experience—and there is no reason to think that it won’t—it’s sure to get the same kind of positive response.

Both experiences were crowdfunded in 2018 and earned roughly $668,300 for their development. You’ll be able to interact with Holo in the VR experience, giving her various objects and patting her head. Virtual reality offers a lot of possibilities for storytelling. The interactive features can help you draw the user in and deepen their connection with the story. Interaction here, however, is somewhat limited so you’ll largely just be enjoying the experience as you would if you were watching on a screen.

That being said, fans are loving it. They recommend getting it when it’s discounted, but they recommend the experience nonetheless. If you’ve seen the anime or read the novels, you’re probably going to like this take on the story. Particularly now that there is a new character being introduced.
