Destiny 2's latest season, Season of Dawn, has finally been announced – and with it comes new lore, new characters, and new activities to pursue in Bungie's MMO-shooter.
This season focuses on Saint-14, a legendary Titan from the lore of Destiny, and teaming with him to prevent the Cabal from rewriting history on Mercury – where time itself has been broken. The season kicks off on December 10.
With the game's new content, the Season of the Undying that launched with Shadowkeep at the start of October is coming to a close – and that means Bungie is de-listing the Deluxe Edition of the expansion from digital storefronts, including Xbox Live, PlayStation Store, and Steam.
According to Bungie's weekly blog post , the devs stated "On December 10, the Digital Deluxe Edition of Shadowkeep will no longer be available. Season of the Undying is almost over."
"Season of Dawn begins soon. The longer time progresses, the less value you’ll be able to derive from the offering that includes all the Seasons we’re deploying this year—so we’re going to stop selling the bundle." the post continues.
You can check out all the exciting content to come in the trailer below:
The good news is that for a limited time, the Deluxe Edition of Shadowkeep is 25% off on Xbox One and Steam meaning you can still be prepared to play through the next three seasons of content with the included passes.
For those wondering, the discount has expired on PSN (Booooo!).
However, you can still pick up the Destiny 2 Deluxe Edition of Shadowkeep on all storefronts via the links below:
PlayStation Network – £49.99
Xbox Live – £37.49
Steam – £37.49
Video Game Christmas Events 2019
Destiny's traditional Christmas event, The Dawning, starts on December 17, while Iron Banner returns just a week later.
Check out the roadmap above, which also shows that there'll be two fresh exotics to chase.
Of course, a new expansion will mean a new seasonal artifact – which will offer plenty of bonus loot as players level up.
We reviewed Shadowkeep, and found it to be an excellent new chapter in Destiny 2's redemption story.
We praised the mod system that allows players to tune their character, while also praising the campaign's missions – despite the abrupt conclusion.
