Where is Xur today in Destiny 2? That question will soon be answered by the intrepid Guardians who go looking for him at EDZ, Nessus or The Tower.
More Legendaries and Armour have been available since the start of Season 15, all of which can be exchanged for Glimmer and Legendary Shards.
Xur is one part of Destiny that hasn’t changed much over the years, and the Agent of the Nine still returns to a specific area of one of Destiny’s worlds for a limited time.
The latest weapons and exotics can be exchanged until the weekly reset, scheduled for October 12.
Xur will be back in Destiny 2 at around 6pm and will be just one of the new events happening in-game.
The Trials of Osiris will be back in the mix after having a week off and now boasts new rules when it comes to earning rewards and loot.
Bungie has already started teasing its return, telling Guardians today: “Is it Friday yet? No? Well shoot. Guess I have to wait a little longer to play more Trials. The revamp has been going well, and it’s awesome to see renewed excitement around the mode. Looks like tomorrow will feature [REDACTED] as the Flawless reward. I got a nice roll the last time it was featured, but I’d really like to get [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] on it.
“I hope you’re ready to play on [REDACTED]. It has a few different range profiles to toy with, depending on which lane you go for first. Just be sure to play as a team. Flank when you can but be ready to rotate if needed. What, my descriptors are too vague? A Destiny pro would be able to guess which map I’m talking about easily!
“All jokes aside, which map do you think we’ll feature? @ us on Twitter. People who guess it right might get a nice virtual pat on the virtual back.”
Last week, Xur was selling Hard Light for 29 Legendary Shards, Shards of Galanor for 23 Legendary Shards, Sunbracers for 23 Legendary Shards, and Crest of Alpha Lupi for 23 Legendary Shards.

The legendary weapons included: Dire Promise Primary Hand Cannon, Jian 7 Rifle Energy Pulse Rifle, Last Perdition Energy Pulse Rifle, Seventh Seraph CQC-12 Energy Shotgun, Hollow Words Energy Fusion Rifle, Berenger’s Memory Heavy Grenade Launcher, and The Keening Energy Sidearm.
Xur was also selling the Ancient Apocalypse Legendary Armour set for Hunters.
We won’t know where Xur is until he is dropped back into the game at around 6pm, and there will be no prior knowledge of what weapons or rolls he has either.
And for anyone who has forgotten, Legendary Shards used by Xur are remnants of powerful items used to improve gear or trade for other stuff.
It should also be noted that Xur will be dropping items similar in power level to your character.
And another part of Xur that is new to the latest version of Destiny 2 is that he now drops Cipher Quests for free.
The Quest will reward you with an exotic Cipher, and last week included completing 21 Strikes or winning the same number of Crucible or Gambit matches.
Every week, Guardians can acquire one Exotic Engram using Legendary Shards that will decrypt as Exotics that aren’t already in your collection.
