Elden Ring falls in line with all of FromSoftware's modern games in that despite most people thinking of them as sword and shield combat games, magic use can be quite effective in defeating the horrors the world puts in front of you. Combining both is the best of both worlds and that's where the Faith attribute and the weapons connected to said attribute come into play.
Faith builds can offer a unique blend of magic and melee combat and add a different feel to the overall experience. In the darkest of times when the challenge you're facing feels impossible to overcome it's important to understand that all you might need at that moment of desperation is a bit of faith.
8 Blasphemous Blade
Among the most effective Faith weapons in Elden Ring, Blasphemous Blade makes a rather strong case for itself. The one large drawback it has is its attribute requirements for wielding it effectively. You'll need ratings of 22 in Strength, 15 in Dexterity, and 21 in Faith. That's a lot of investment and requires a bit of forward-thinking to accomplish.
This is a boss-related weapon that requires you to trade Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy's Remembrance item with the woman known as Finger Reader Enia in the room adjacent to the Roundtable Hold central Site of Grace. Did we mention it does Fire Damage and its weapon skill called Taker's Flames steals health from inflicting damage on opponents?
7 Sword of Night And Flame
When looking at the Sword of Night and Flame it has built-in usefulness as it can be adapted to fit your own unique playstyle. This is because you can choose to either use its fire-damaging fire attack or go the more mystical route and use its Night Comet sorcery.
It scales with both Faith and Intelligence in terms of its base damage, which it inflicts at a high rate. After a precarious journey across walkways at Caria Manor in the northwest part of Leonia, you'll be able to fall into an open roof and upon landing, you'll see a chest that contains this magically delightful weapon.
6 Gargoyle's Black Halberd
Halberds aren't a commonly used weapon type in FromSoftware titles, but they are quite effective thanks in large part to their range and area of effect. In Elden Ring, it's hard to deny the Gargoyle's Black Halberd as the second-best halberd in the entirety of the game.
It needs 22 Faith and a staggering 26 Strength to effectively wield but is worth every point. Both it and the Gargoyle's Blackblade are rewarded for defeating the Kindred Gargoyle bosses of the Forbidden Lands.
5 Golden Halberd
The Golden Halberd is a Faith weapon that's only useful for you if your build is also focused on improving your Strength attribute. Alongside its D-grade scaling for Faith, you'll need your Strength of at least 30 in order to meet its effective use requirement. Its Golden Vow Ash of War ability buffs your attack and defense ratings substantially for a short amount of time.
Do you remember the Tree Sentinel roaming the field in front of the Church of Elleh at the beginning of Elden Ring? You'll need to defeat the golden-armored rider in order to get your hands on the Golden Halberd.
4 Gargoyle's Blackblade
You may be wondering why the Blackblade has the edge over the Black Halberd when it comes to Gargoyle weapons and there's a simple answer for that. Not only is it a greatsword, a weapon-type much more familiar to the average player, but it has D-grade scaling for Faith and a Strength requirement of only 18.
If you come across the Kindred Gargoyle bosses located in the Forbidden Lands you'll be gifted with both of their weapons as your reward. You do have to fight both of them at the same time, so be prepared for that accordingly.
3 Uchigatana
The beauty of the Uchigatana is that despite it not, at its base, being a Faith weapon, it can be transformed into something Faith-focused builds can cause damage with. If you don't start the game as the Samurai class you'll have to head to the Deathtouched Catacombs in order to snag it for your inventory.
Once you have it you'll then need to use the Sacred Whetstone to mold the Uchigatana into the Sacred Uchigatana. This imbues the weapon with both Faith scaling and Holy damage. In order to complete the Faith transformation for it, you'll also need to equip it with the Ash of War called Unsheathe.
2 Cipher Pata
Sometimes Elden Ring will provide you with weapons in the early game, but they won't be usable for quite some time. With the Cipher Pata, you can snag it as soon as you are transported to the Roundtable Hold. Jump off the central ledge and head left to find it in a room sitting on a bed.
The Cipher Pata needs 30 Faith to wield, so if you're looking to take advantage of its Holy Damage and an Ash of War called Unblockable Blade, you'll need to invest heavily in your Faith from the beginning of the game.
1 Coded Sword
It's hard to find a Faith-based weapon in all of Elden Ring that is more effective than the Coded Sword. This beauty can be found in the Lower Capital Church in Liurnia. In order to wield it effectively, you'll need a Faith attribute rating of at least 20.
Through upgrades, you can make its Faith-based scaling an S-Grade, but even before that point, you'll find it worth wielding as it starts off with a weapon scaling for Faith at a B-grade. It also has its own unique Ash of War titled Holy Blade Slash which is quite useful and fun to use.
