Fallout 4 Fans Share Their Favorite Cut Content

When it comes to massive, 100-hour RPGs like Fallout and the Elder Scrolls series, there are always going to be a bunch of cool ideas and designs that never made it into the final game. Whether it be due to time limits, budget constraints, or just development issues, the creators of these kinds of titles rarely get to implement every single idea they have. Fallout 4 is one of the best examples of this, as a whole bunch of questlines and NPCs were left on the cutting room floor.

Over on the Fallout 4 subreddit, fans have been discussing which ones they wish had made the final cut, starting off with u/Electronic-Safety999 who is disappointed Centaurs were cut from the game. Those who have played Fallout 3 will likely remember the horrid creatures that slowly crawled along the ground while spitting who knows what at you. Concept art from Fallout 4 revealed they would have undergone a dramatic redesign, but they were eventually cut from the game.

Spider_Ben82 brings up one of the bigger pieces of cut content, that being Vault 120. If you weren't aware, there were originally plans for an underwater Vault that would have been heavily inspired by BioShock. A cut quest called 20 Leagues Under the Sea would have taken the player there and could have featured an underwater fight involving a harpoon gun and a giant squid. For whatever reason, probably due to development issues, all of these elements were cut from the game.

Finally, we have u/Indra_a_goblin's pick, who wishes that Bethesda hadn't cut an enormous 300ft Ghoul called May-Pole that would've wandered around the Glowing Sea, followed by hordes of smaller Feral Ghouls. This was unfortunately cut due to technical issues, but I'm sure there's a mod out there somewhere that will bring May-Pole back in all its massive, terrifying glory.
