When crafting all of your important gear in Fallout 76 it’s easy to lose track of how much resources you have, and how much you’re going to need going forward. It’s an easy trap to fall into, and that’s exactly why you’re going to need to stock up at some point. Copper is a regularly used material, and eventually, you’re going to need a lot of it. But not to worry, follow the tips in this guide and our farming map below, and you’ll soon have all of the copper you need in Fallout 76.
How to Speed Up Farming in Fallout 76
This is important. There’s no good way to speed up farming in Fallout 76, except for one. We can give you the very best farming route in the game, potentially, but that’ll all be meaningless if you can’t gather more, faster. And that’s why you need the Excavator Power Armor. This set of power armor can be difficult to craft, but once you wear it, it provides a four times boost to the number of materials you get by mining, which is a massive boost to ores like Copper.

How to Farm Copper Fast in Fallout 76
Unfortunately, there’s no easy single place to go to easily farm copper in Fallout 76, instead, you’ll need to move across the land, going from point-to-point, mining node to mining node. It can be tiring, especially if you’re looking for a specific type of ore. But we’ve found what we believe to be the best farming route for Copper, courtesy of YouTuber Virtual Papa.
You can fast travel to the Berkeley Springs Station, and once you arrive you’ll immediately be able to grab two Copper veins, and then another three to the West. Follow the path we’ve marked on the map below, and you’ll find plenty of Copper, in addition to some other materials.
Combine a faithful and repeated use of this route with the Excavator Power Armor, and you’ll be earning potentially hundreds of copper in a fairly short amount of time. If you want a full map of all ore veins in Fallout 76 you can look right here.
