The news was announced by Epic Games on Twitter, alongside a preview of what fans can expect from the new update.

“Get ready to Spring into v24.10 with downtime beginning at 4 AM ET and matchmaking disabled shortly beforehand.”

If it’s anything like previous periods of server downtime, then Fortnite is likely to come back online at around 11am BST.

Based on the tweet, Epic Games will use the update to launch the Easter event in Battle Royale.

This will likely include an egg launcher weapon, some kind of egg hunt, Easter challenges, and bonus cosmetics.

According to insiders like Shiina, fans can also expect new augments, cosmetics and the release of some kind of smart pistol weapon.

With the month coming to an end, Fortnite Crew subscribers will get a look at the April cosmetic pack.
