Limited Edition Fortnite Xbox One S revealed in new leak

It’s not just news of new games that’s leaking ahead of E3 but new hardware as well, with a ‘gradient purple’ Xbox One due out soon.

Even if they’re multiformat, most games have some kind of marketing deal or association with a particular format, whether it’s Call Of Duty on PlayStation or PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on Xbox.

But Fortnite has always managed to keep itself above such things and isn’t really associated with any particular console. But it has inspired a new special edition Xbox One S.

Although it was presumably being left for an annoucement at E3 the new limited edition bundle is expected to released in the US and Europe within the next few weeks.

The leaks were discovered by German website WinFuture.de and judging by the European price of €299.90 will be more expensive than the standard version, at around £250.

For that you get a limited edition console in ‘gradient purple’ and matching controller.

Also included is a special Fortnite skin called Dark Vertex, 2,000 V-Bucks, and one month’s subscription to both Xbox Live and Game Pass.

Although Microsoft is gearing up to reveal its next generation console the cheaper Xbox One S is likely to be around for a good many years yet, especially as it’s perfect for mainstream-friendly games like Fortnite.

Whether the Xbox Two, as it’s currently nicknamed by fans, will actually be at E3 or not is unclear and it may be that Microsoft only shows off its games and not the new console itself.
