Spawn arrived as the final DLC character in the first Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack earlier this week (and he'll be available for any player of the game as of next week), but already fans are hungry for more news about Kombat Pack 2.
Mortal Kombat franchise co-creator Ed Boon took the stage at the start of March, during the Final Kombat 2020 event, to tease NetherRealm's next big content update for the game.
"Thank you everybody for supporting Mortal Kombat. We love to do these reveals at these events as a thank you for all of this support for all of these years.
"There is a lot more to come with Mortal Kombat as well, this isn’t the end of the whole support for this game. We’ve got a lot of surprises in store."
And it looks like we're already starting to see NetherRealm put some of that content together.
In a post over on Instagram, Mortal Kombat’s 11 voice actor, Richard Epcar (responsible for both Raiden and Joker in the game) suggested more lines are already being recorded for the game.
The post, now removed, suggested 'Raiden' may be voicing intro lines for new arenas. The photo included the tag 'YinandYang' which could be referencing a previous Mortal Kombat stage called 'Ying Yang Island (which rapidly cycled between day and night).
Warner Bros Studios also saw a visit from Steve Blum (the actor that plays Sub-Zero), who also updated his Instagram.
Previously we've reported that old leaks about the game have been recently proven correct, and that Fujin and Sheeva therefore may be added to the roster in the next wave of DLC.
Nothing has been confirmed yet, though.
We'll let you know when we hear more.
