‘Night City Expansion’ One Of Nine Leaked Cyberpunk 2077 DLC Packs

Names of nine different Cyberpunk 2077 DLC packs appear to have been discovered, and they suggest big things are headed the game’s way in the future.

The path back from what was a disastrous release for Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be a long one but at this point, developer CDPR is three months down that path. The first patches have been rolled out, the latest of which fixes more than 500 of the game’s bugs. It also appears to have briefly given a sneak peek at future plans for the game, providing you were looking in the right place at the right time.

Reddit user PricklyAssassin claims to have discovered the names of nine upcoming Cyberpunk DLC packs. The names of the packs became visible in the Epic Game Store’s back end after Cyberpunk’s 1.2 update went live and all nine can be seen below. They were all listed as free when discovered but returned an error message when an attempt to claim them was made since they’re not ready to go yet. There was also a $14.99 expansion pass.

  • Ripperdocs Expansion
  • Body Shops Expansion
  • Fashion Forward Expansion
  • Gangs of Night City
  • Body of Chrome
  • Rides of the Dark Future
  • The Relic
  • Neck Deep
  • Night City Expansion

The names of the DLC packs are obviously subject to change. In fact, considering the ever-changing nature of Cyberpunk and its future, some of the above might never see the light of day. However, a few of them will have excited the game’s community.

Perhaps most notably the Night City Expansion. The name suggests there are areas of the expansive city yet to be opened to players. The DLC packs without expansion in their name could well include new side missions. As for the paid expansion pass, it’s expected that will take a similar form to the additional stories and content added to The Witcher 3.

The new patch has thrown Cyberpunk back into the limelight after a period of calm for the game. CDPR has revealed the new way in which it plans to develop its titles going forward. The aim is to prevent a major project getting repeatedly delayed and then hit the market unpolished, as was the case with Cyberpunk. There has also been talk of CDPR making a u-turn when it comes to multiplayer plans for Cyberpunk.
