Pokimane’s net worth explored as she signs lucrative multi-year Twitch deal

Imane Anys, also known as Pokimane, is one of Twitch’s biggest streamer’s, with more than 3.9 million followers.

As several of the video game streaming service’s biggest stars have left for other companies, Pokimane is going nowhere.

The 23-year-old has recently announced she is signing a “multi-year deal” to remain on the platform.

She is Twitch’s biggest female star, and has streamed since 2013.

There is no doubt the multi-year deal will have been very lucrative for her, although she could have taken more money.

In a recent YouTube video she explained she had settled for “less money” in order to stay with Twitch.

But she explained she “didn’t want to go to the highest bidder”, because there were too many upsides to staying with Twitch.

Pokimane is estimated to be worth of $3million (£2.3million) in as of February 2020 according to the website Naibuzz.

Most of her wealth comes from Twitch and YouTube from donations, advertisement, sponsored streams and deals.

However, now she’s signed a new deal with Twitch we wouldn’t be surprised if her net worth soared.

The biggest exclusivity deals are worth millions of dollars, and mean more opportunities for sponsorship deals.

In a recent YouTube video, Pokimane explained: “I won’t lie, these livestreaming exclusivity deals are big money. They’re life-chasing money for us streamers.

“I got deals from many different platforms, but it really came down to just two.

“Ultimately, I decided to take less money to stay on Twitch. I did a lot of research – on all of it: infrastructure, servers, delay. I hate streaming with a delay, chat interactions are really bad for me. I really hate long delays.”

Any became one of the platform’s biggest streamers after dropping her Chemical Engineering degree to go full time on Twitch.

She quickly became one of the 100 most followed on the platform, and earned the titled Best Streamer of the Year award at The Shorty Awards in 2018.

The Maroccan-born streamer is best known for playing League of Legends and Fortnite.

She is also known for her cosplay and IRL/non-gaming streams.

She also has three YouTube channels, where she posts vlogs, ASMR-content and gaming videos.

Website Naibuzz has done some calculations, and estimated she will earn around $2,300 (£1,760) per day from her channels.

Meanwhile, they believe she will be earning around $250,000 (£192,000) per year from Twitch.
