There’s A New Painkiller Game Coming, But We Know Absolutely Nothing About It (Please Click)

There’s a Painkiller game in development from Saber Interactive (yay!). We know absolutely nothing about it (nay!).

The original Painkiller is a gothic horror FPS developed by People Can Fly. When it was released in 2004, it was a graphical powerhouse. Whether the new one will live up to its legacy remains to be seen. And there will be lots of those, too – remains… to be seen… because it’s gory and you kill things.

Honestly, I’m just trying to fill the word count here. God, help me.

Saber Interactive is the team behind the Halo remasters in the Master Chief Collection, and it also made middling shooters World War Z and Timeshift. It’s a talented studio when it has a decent budget behind it, so it’ll be interesting to see if it stole any of Bungie’s secrets when tinkering with Halo.

Anyway, there’s a new Painkiller game coming and it might be good. We’ll hopefully see it in action at some point before we succumb to the void.
