Xbox Is Taking Back Forza Horizon Games It Accidentally Sold For 61p

A week or so ago players got excited after Microsoft listed what seemed to be an amazing deal. On the Swedish Xbox Store customers could find a package for Forza Horizon 4 and 5, with all the DLC, listed for what amounted to £0.61. After a games journalist noticed the listing, we covered it, and it seems gamers took advantage of the pricing mistake.

However, it seems those who did buy the 61p Forza Horizon package, which includes customers from the UK and other European countries, are getting refunded. One of our editors has verified this and noticed the Forza Horizon 4 and 5 premium package he bought for the low, low price is no longer in his owned games tab but has instead reverted to the Game Pass version. Over on ResetEra, numerous people have also said they've been getting refunds from Xbox.

The original accidental listing didn't last long, while shoppers could purchase from the Swedish version of the Xbox store as long as they had a payment method with a valid address. The listing seemed to be made in error. The accidental pricing was taken advantage of however by numerous customers, and things like this have been known to happen on other online stores, such as Amazon, which usually honours such purchases. But it seems that Microsoft is taking back the purchased games and refunding those who bought the 61p package.

The Forza Horizon bundle usually goes for around £170 or so, although currently it is being sold at a discount for Black Friday. While shoppers can no longer enjoy such a massive discount, the premium bundle is currently on sale for £67.99. For a brief time however, there were players enjoying the glow of playing the triple-A racing games that cost them a mere £0.61.

It was good while it lasted but accidental pricings by Xbox don't appear to be honoured all of the time, especially when the price is that low for so much gaming goodness.
