The Outer Worlds coming to Nintendo Switch on June 5

The Outer Worlds will be released for Nintendo Switch on June 5, publisher Private Division announced on Tuesday. The space-faring game was previously delayed indefinitely in February after Chinese port developer Virtuos Games closed its studio following the coronavirus outbreak. The Outer Worlds was originally slated for a March 6 release date.

At the time, Private Division said it’ll produce a physical Nintendo Switch version of The Outer Worlds, too. That’s coming on June 5 with the digital version — but the physical cartridge will require “a day one patch that could be up to 6 GB,” Private Division said.

Both versions will cost $59.99 when they’re released on June 5.

The Outer Worlds was originally released by developer Obsidian Entertainment on Oct. 25, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
