Fortnite down – How long are servers offline for update 25.30?

Fortnite developer Epic Games is taking the game offline for update 25.30. Coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox consoles, Nintendo Switch, Android and PC, update 25.30 will be available to download on the morning of August 8. It will be accompanied by a period of server downtime, which means you won’t be able to play Fortnite for at least a couple of hours. If you want to know when you can log back into Fortnite, check out the 25.30 server downtime schedule below.

The news was announced by Epic Games on Twitter, alongside details on when servers will be taken offline for maintenance.

“To break the curse, use the curse… Jujutsu Kaisen is coming to take over the Battle Royale Island,” reads an Epic tweet.

“Downtime for v25.30 starts at 04:00 AM ET (08:00 UTC). Matchmaking will be disabled 30 minutes before downtime.”

For UK fans, this means that Fortnite will be taken offline in full at 9am BST, while matchmaking will be disabled at 8.30am.

Epic hasn’t revealed exactly when downtime will come to an end, but maintenance typically lasts for around a couple of hours.

This means Fortnite should be back online by 11am BST UK time at the latest.

As you can see from the tweet above, the update will be headlined by the arrival of skins and items from Jujutsu Kaisen.

Fans will be able to purchase Jujutsu Kaisen characters such as Gojo Satoru, Kugisaki Nobara, Fushiburo Megumi and Itadori Yuuji. That’s in top of various items available as part of the different Jujutsu Kaisen bundles.

In addition to Jujutsu Kaisen skins and items, Epic Games is also expected to announce a crossover with WWE.

If the rumours are to be believed, WWE Superstars Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair will join Fortnite.
