The next batch of PS Plus games for October 2023 are about to be revealed by Sony. The next wave of PS Plus Essentials will be unveiled at 4.30pm BST UK time on September 27. Ahead of the big PlayStation Plus games reveal, fans have been having fun predicting the Essentials games line-up for next month. Needless to say, with Halloween almost upon us, most subscribers believe horror games will be part of the PS Plus line-up in October.
In a predictions thread over on Reddit, many fans believe PS4 and PS5 games like Resident Evil 2 Remake will be available next month.
Other games in the series, including Resident Evil 3 Remake and Resident Evil Village, also feature heavily in the predictions thread.
Speaking of horror games, titles like Little Nightmares 2 and The Callisto Protocol also get multiple mentions.
Not only has the original Little Nightmares has previously appeared on PS Plus, but it would be a good way to hype the upcoming sequel.
Likewise, adding The Callisto Protocol to PlayStation Plus could generate interest in the post-release DLC packs.
Other horror games featured heavily in the predictions thread include Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach, any number of Dark Pictures Anthology games, and The Last of Us Part 1 or Part 2.
Of course, Sony doesn’t always include a horror game in the October batch of PS Plus games, so not every prediction is for a spooky release.

Indeed, martial-arts action game Sifu gets a few mentions, as it has for every month since it originally launched.
First-party games like Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales and Horizon Forbidden West get a few mentions, alongside Gran Turismo Sport.
Interestingly, Gotham Knights gets multiple predictions, which makes sense considering it just made its debut on Xbox Game Pass.
Other fans predict games like Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered, Hades, Dark Souls Remastered, Aliens Fireteam, Back 4 Blood, Shovel Knight, MLB: The Show, Spyro and Weird West.
Express Online will update this story with the full line-up once the games are announced on September 27.
In the meantime, Essentials subscribers can download and play Saints Row, Generation Zero and Black Desert.
