PlayStation Plus September 2023 free PS4 and PS5 games reveal date

After a steady stream of big games and blockbuster hits, PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers are counting down to the release of the September 2023 free PS4 and PS5 games. Unfortunately, however, due to the way the dates fall, fans will have to wait a little longer for the free games to be revealed. The September 2023 PS Plus games will be officially announced at 4.30pm BST UK time on the afternoon of August 30. This means the new line-up won’t be available to download and play until the morning of September 5.

On the plus side, it does give subscribers extra time to download the August 2023 line-up, which is headlined by the excellent PGA Tour 2K23.

The high-profile golfing sim features more than 20 courses from around the world, including St. George’s, East Lake Golf Club, TPC Sawgrass and TPC Scottsdale.

That’s on top of a host of male and female pros, such as Tiger Woods, Justin Rose, and Lexi Thompson.

Players can even create their very own golf courses, which are fully customisable and can be shared across platforms.

Speaking of creation and customisation, the August 2023 PS Plus line-up also includes Media Molecule’s Dreams.

“The latest evolution of the studio’s Play, Create, Share maxim, Dreams gives you the opportunity to unleash your creativity. Bring your ideas to life with innovative, easy-to-use tools, then share them with a global community,” reads the official Dreams description.

“Whether you want to create games, music, paintings, animation, sculpture, movies or anything in-between, Dreams is an extraordinary digital playground where anything is possible.”

While it’s maybe not as high-profile as the other two games on the list, indie game Death’s Door might just be the best.

One of my favourite games of 2021, Death’s Door is a superb action adventure game set in a bleak world.

“Reaping souls of the dead and punching a clock might get monotonous but it’s honest work for a Crow,” reads the official description.

“The job gets lively when your assigned soul is stolen and you must track down a desperate thief to a realm untouched by death – where creatures grow far past their expiry and overflow with greed and power.”

Unless the September 2023 PS Plus games will leak early, Daily Express will be back with its PlayStation Plus predictions this weekend.
