PlayStation 5 users are counting down to the release of Baldur’s Gate 3. Larian’s D&D role-playing game has a September 2 release date on PS5, but only if you pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition for £65.99. If you’ve ordered the Deluxe Edition, then you can start playing at 5pm BST UK time on Saturday afternoon. If you’ve purchased the Standard Edition, then the game will launch at 5pm BST UK on September 6.
To ensure you’re ready for the game’s launch, Digital Deluxe customers can pre-load Baldur’s Gate 3 right now.
With the game weighing in at around 108GB on the PS5, pre-loading is certainly recommended.
Depending on your internet speeds, the gargantuan file size means Baldur’s Gate 3 could take a long time to fully download and install.
Described as the “ultimate D&D experience”, Baldur’s Gate 3 can be played in single or multiplayer.
“Abducted, infected, lost. You are turning into a monster, but as the corruption inside you grows, so does your power.

“Caught in a conflict between devils, deities, and sinister otherworldly forces, you and your party will determine the fate of the Forgotten Realms.”
Interest in the PS5 version of Baldur’s Gate 3 has grown since the game made its PC debut in early August.
In the weeks since launch, Baldur’s Gate 3 has racked up a hugely impressive 96% average score on Metacritic.
It’s currently tied with Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom as game of the year.
